Weekly Tournament

The Weekly Tournament is a small official tournament hosted by Open Minesweeper. It is held once a week and pauses when another tournament is taking place.

Rules

The tournament starts at 00:00 UTC on Monday and ends at 24:00 UTC on Sunday. You may choose any two-hour window within that interval to play. During the tournament, you can register on the tournament page and receive a unique tournament identifier. After registration, you have two hours to upload tournament replays. If you register after 22:00 UTC on Sunday, your tournament end time is still 24:00 UTC on Sunday, so please pay attention to the time.

Before registration, the page asks for confirmation. Once confirmed, your two-hour session starts immediately and cannot be cancelled or chosen again.

For the classic 2E+5I format, the score uses the best 2 expert Time games plus the best 5 intermediate Time games. Only standard mode and no-flag (NF) games count, and the software must support tournament token. If there are not enough games, missing intermediate games are filled with 60 seconds, and missing expert games are filled with 240 seconds.

Point Rewards

After the tournament ends, points are awarded based on rank. The formula is 50/rank: for example, 1st place receives 50 points, 2nd place receives 25 points, and so on.
